Westfield NJ’s 16th Annual Sweet Sounds Downtown Jazz Festival 2012 kicked off last week, and continues for the rest of the summer on Tuesday nights. Its the best ticket in town – and even better, its free.
Last Tuesday we left our Keller Williams Westfield Office – our new Westfield NJ Home on Elm Street – and enjoyed the sounds of live Jazz. After a long day there is no more relaxing way to pass a summer evening than by listening to soothing Jazz.
Sponsored by Downtown Westfield the Festival attracts performers of varying Jazz styles. Programs include contemporary and traditional jazz, from the blues to big bands.
And the program changes every week. This week’s program includes the David Aaron Quintet (Central Avenue), the Chris Coloneri Quintet (East Broad and North Avenue), Gordon James (Elm Street) and Roxy Perry (North Ave.)
So where is it? If you are in Downtown Westfield, you can’t miss it. There are four venues, which are:
- Elm Street in front of the Baptist Church.
- Corner of East Broad and North Avenue
- Lawn in front of the North Avenue Train Station
- Central Avenue in front of Banana Republic
